PSA Analysis

In this PSA video I saw, which was on this 2008's election. I though it wasn't that interesting but towards the end of the video it hooked my attention. I thought this because it was interesting to see the facts people survey other people on the street, and ask them questions related to voting and seeing how much they even knew on the election and their opinions. But I didn't like that the interesting part wasn't until the end.

Journal: Personal Quaities of an Ideal President 10/02/08

a president should have a pretty strong confidence in himself, and know how to be a strong leader. Especially when he's the commander n' chief and has a lot of power and control in his hands. He shouldn't be the type that gets overwhelmed with having too much control, because there could be times where he could have more power and maybe all that power for one person may be too much to handle. So just having good self-control , strong, enough self confidence, knowledge, and good leadership skills.

Personal Declaration of Independence

In CONGRESS, September 4th, 2008

The Declaration of Independence

When in the course of the human life, it becomes necessary for a person to dissolve the youthful rights and limits. We hold these truths: that all men and women of the youth are created equal as entitled adults. That to secure these rights, governments is instituted among all humankind.

In the history of the United States of America, it has been stated that equal rights is towards every one, but has been ignored with the youth.

He has not exercised the right that living in a country, where the youth have no say what so ever on their next leaders; on voting day.

He has given the young adults the equal right to a driver’s license, but not an equal rate as others for car insurance.

He provides a higher education for those who want to be educated, but then add a cost to it, and expect students to have fewer working hours.

He has limited the youth to being dependent on themselves, and relied until the government decides an age when the youth can be adults.

And for the support of this Declaration with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.

Journal- If i were 18, would i vote? 9/18/08

Personally if I was 18, i would be voting this November. First of all, because I am not just a teenager who would be just voting for the most popular candidate. I feel that the who vote based on popularity, do this because they aren't fully back rounded to vote according to what they know and think is a good decision. And not only am I knowledgeable through school (ie projects, lectures, and current events.) but through my friends and family. And would make my decision based on who i believe is best, not being a bandwagon. This election will also mark history, if Obama wins; and I would've been part of it, If i were to vote.

jounal- How i see my gov't today?

My opinion on today's government is mostly neutral , because i don't know much to give and educated opinion. But i do know that our gov't is constantly hiding information or knowledge from our country or society. They claim to say that everyone has equal rights and freedom, but its not really true in some areas. It protects because our country doesn't have slavery, isn't a third world country and can feel safe when walking on the street, which I do appreciate. But i just think that our country should always be aware of whats going on, no matter what it may be.

Natural Law Party

Slogan:
"Bringing the light of science into politics"
Their Platforms:
Some of their main issues and their envisions were in Health, they believed that every American should be ensured a long and healthy life. Economy, where no citizen has to suffer unemployment, recession, runaway inflation, or any other economic hardship. Crime and Rehabilitation, which is basically an America free of crime, where citizens live with natural and national laws, and education, they believed that our national problems lied in proper education. Some other issues are agriculture, energy and environment, strengthening democracy, abortion, foreign policy, defense, gun control, and capital punishment.
History:
The Natural Law party is a political party that was founded on February 1992 by President John Hagelin and a group of 12 educators, business men, and lawyers. They believed that there were many problems in America that were being ignored, "due primarily to the pervasive influence of special interests" (Natural Law, Par. 2). Because of hard working petition drives, the Party was able to be placed in ballot for 32 states and ran 128 candidates. They became the first party, after the Republican and Democratic of course, to be granted as a "national party" by the Federal Election Commission, and to have their first presidential candidate to qualify for federal matching funds. Through out the years, the party spread the word more and more, and the party began to grew, they got more votes and the years passed; in 1996 the Party had qualified for the ballot in 48 states and ran 400 candidates. By 1990 they had achieved the ballot access in all 50 states. But in 2000, the Party failed against the Reform Party; they lost most of their votes and endorsers. It had weakened so bad, that sadly by 2004 the Party dissolved completely.
A Famous Candidate:
One famous candidate was the President and creator of the Party, John Hagelin. He was obviously one of the main persons that supported the Party; he was a world-re owned quantum physicist and educator. He supported the party and tried to introduce cost effective, prevention-oriented solutions into America's pressing problems.
Site:
The Natural Law Party National Convention in the year 2000 was held on August 31st to September 2nd in the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, a hotel in Alexandria, Virginia (Just outside of Washington D.C).

Journal – if you could register for any party, what would it be? Why? If you don’t know, what are the most important issues to you? 10/07/08

If i could register for a political party. I wouldn't know for whom to register for, because I don't agree with some party's ideas. But some ideologies I would look for in a party would be non-beneficial to most of the wealthiest and more to the middle class. Leaves the choice to the woman if she should abort or not, have an equal set of mind (non-discriminating).

Journal: What makes an American? 8/26/08

An American in my point of view is a person that has a life with happiness and freedom. That has the most things that they feel is right, don't get turned down for education, they get what they usually deserve. The people that have the right to stand up for themselves and what their beliefs may be in. Americans can actually have a voice that can really make a difference in the world or in their own country. They can become whoever they want with out having all the riches or knowing important people. I feel that any American has the chance to be rich or poor, depending how bad they want it.
